The Funny Farm goes to town…
Literally you are so amazing for joining us again!
As mentioned last week, we took an extra special trip to Fargo for the birthday bunch (that is mom and her sister- whose birthdays were within a week of each other.) Oh boy... that was an adventure!
Our group consisted of Mom and her sister- Krista, Megan, Grandma Roxie, the one and only Ariana (who kindly joined) and me. Ariana heard that we were going to Fargo and asked if she could join us. Mom was thrilled, so yes of course! We were leaving our house at approximately 9am, so I told Ariana to not be late, especially because Grandma Roxie was coming to pick us up. Sure enough, I forgot to straighten my hair until the last minute- so I am the reason we didn't leave at 9am.
As mentioned last week, Foxie Roxie got some new pajamas from Walmart. She absolutely loves them. As she rolled up in the driveway, I was concerned that she was going to go on our trip wearing them. Mom tried to play it off as if she did, but she did not.
Now the moment that we had gotten in the car started the craziness right away.
The first story I'll mention is that Grandma Roxie bought herself a camera for the big Alaskan Cruise that she is going on next summer. It was found at Walmart, and it was $200 off.... Foxie Roxie proceeded to tell us that she figured out what 'vlogging' was- she said, "It's what Lexi does with her phone." I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing, but it's all good haha!
She proceeded to say, "I don't think I'm going to vlog. I don't want to be on the real world." Her words exactly.
Ariana then mentioned that she could be on The Real Housewives. To which her response started as an enthusiastic 'YES' but came to realization and said it a low voice, 'oh my gosh no...'
Grandma Roxie also told us that she started watching 50 shades of grey, although she only watched 15 minutes before she turned it off...
Our first stop for our day trip was a coffee and waffle bar. We enjoyed HUGE, delightful waffles paired with a nice coffee. I would recommend balancing out your sweets with a whole lot of salt because there was so much sugar there... The potato waffle was super good!
We did a bit of thrifting and then for lunch we went to Olive Garden. Who doesn't love pasta?! From there we went to Hobby Lobby and enjoyed lots of Christmas shopping. Hobby Lobby's main marketing part is lots of stuff being half off, so it was a good time lol.
Burn 'n Design got a lot of stuff for her Christmas event on December 6th at the Holiday Inn, so stay tuned!! Feel free to comment below what you would like to see.
Better yet, comment below your best thrift store finds!! I found the coolest shirt ever that was originally $100 but I got it for only $30. I was proud! :) Our next stop was Tjmaxx. Here, Foxie Roxie saw a lot of people she knew- so that was exciting. At one point, she was waving at someone at the same times a separate group of people walked right in front of them. It was hilarious timing that ended in much laughter on everyone's part.
After a few more stops, we decide that we should probably trek back home- and with that an hour of driving with nonstop talking. There was approximately 3 seconds of silence between conversations. To end the night, Ariana, mom, and I played a game of 4 Pile Swap- we're not sure exactly what it is, but it's fun and fast.
I'll leave you with on more quote from Grandma Roxie- "Life is always interest."
Join us next week as we talk about soup AND soap. Thanks for being here. We appreciate you!
